Lapse

I was having a good time doing last week's posts, so I'm a little disappointed in myself that I didn't manage to get my (increasingly larger) butt over and keep the ball rolling. Our company left on Saturday morning and directly after that, I collapsed on the couch. And thereabouts I stayed all day long.

Sunday was much of the same due to the fact that the good folks at AFN decided to have a John Hughes marathon on the movie channel. Seriously, who can resist "Pretty in Pink", "National Lampoon's Vacation" or "Planes Trains & Automobiles"? Well, I can resist the last one...for some reason, I just haven't ever grown to love "PT&A". I know, I know, I'm missing out.

I have to interject here that Will is increasingly active...which is nice in some ways. I know that he's doing well in there. Great! Doing well! However, the fact that I am now over the 30 week mark, which means that he's around 15" long and probably weighs over 3 lbs. It's starting to be a little painful sometimes...and he has woken me up at night and kept me up, either with practicing his mime technique or with the hiccups.

For the three people who don't know, we have decided to name him William Colvill. For those of you who are interested, a biography can be found here: http://www.mnlegion.org/paper/html/colvill.html
We had a lot of different ideas on what to name him, but this one just stuck and we figured that since we had saddled Josiah with a middle name like "Snelling", we'd better give his little brother a middle name that needs explaining, too.

For my birthday, I ordered myself a new necklace from a custom company. It will be three tiny sterling silver discs embossed with "josiah", "annika" and now "will". I don't see us calling him William very much. Will it is...and mind you, not Willy, Bill or Billy.

Where was I? I get off on these tangents. I will try to get back to the grateful lists in tomorrow's post, OK? They are nice to go back and read...they make me smile.

Ah, excellent; a name to take pride in. Even better, a name he can have a Civil War miniature figure painted in his honor, because his father has a semi-crazed friend with weird hobbies who has a degree in said conflict.

Good to hear you found some time to relax a bit. As for his name, I'm also liking Will.

I'm glad you ordered a special necklace to celebrate your darlings. For me, each time I touch the shoes on my necklace, I pray for my angels. As a matter of fact, I'm wearing it today!

I like the name Will too. When you say all of your names together, it sounds very fitting.
William Colvill, awesome. Just read the bio. Yep, I am keeping up with your blog. I haven't written. My mom was here and left yesterday and we leave for FL tomorrow. Walt Disney World here we come, then school starts and when it ends we move back to Europe, it is looking like Stuttgart or Vienna, those are the two places they do in country training for FAO for German speaking. Time to finish my packing.
