Minnesota is Heaven, But Virginia is Home

I won't be posting here anymore, but per the request of a few people, I will leave what is here, here.

I'm going to shut this thing down for awhile. I just wanted to let everyone know. I don't know why, but the pleasure of blogging has just evaporated for me. It's becoming less about sitting down and coming up with a cute little story and more about meeting expectations. I have so precious little time to write--I would like that tiny slice of time to be something different than this blog. I'm going to put it aside for awhile and just think on it, or possibly make this blog for my eyes only and see what happens. I've been blogging since 2005, so I think I've earned a little break, right? Anyway, it's me, it's not you. Keep being fabulous, my 28 readers! Thanks.

Pictures from Will's first birthday party--a whirlwind of activity shared with Grandma and Grandpa Kuehl, Aunt Genevieve, Sam and Gus!

A few shots from week before last, when the temps were still high and it wasn't raining. It rained every day last week, yesterday was gorgeous and cool and today it's back to rain. The first two pictures of Will are using the Hipstamatic app for my iPhone, an app I have been hearing about like crazy, but kept forgetting to try...I love the way the pictures turn out looking like something from an old photo album. Anyway--the pictures of the kids playing at the water table are on our back patio and I included one partial shot of our backyard (one of these days I'm going to get a wide-angle lens, I've been meaning to since Jodi saw us in February!). What else is new? Not a whole lot. Life is busy and full. I opened the last box last week and so I consider "the move" to be 98% complete. Our new couch is being delivered on the 12th and we'll finally be able to have all the furniture in its proper spot. I've been waiting to hang some larger pictures until th...
