I've decided to do an entire post based around pictures, rather than telling a story and then adding pictures. I just have no spontaneous ideas for a good subject right now, but I know that if I don't blog regularly, certain people start going through the shakes. I've been there, getting off the Percoset after the Car Accident of 2003...so I know, withdrawal is no joke. Anyway, this picture is of Annika. Duh. She did that to herself. We didn't artfully place the strands of spaghetti on her head. This picture is pretty cute in and of itself. A movie would have been better, because it was hilarious how after she threw the spaghetti on her head, she could see it out of the corner of her eye and kept jerking her head around trying to get rid of it. Hans, Josiah and I just sat there and laughed at her. Her favorite new thing to do at supper is for all of us to shake our heads "NO" all at the same time. Hans has suggested that I blog about his new Star Wars figurine. Apparently, he thinks I have nothing better to blog about. So, here goes. Hans has been collecting these little titanium Star Wars figurines since we came back home. Oh wait, I'm supposed to call them "aspiration figures". Most of them are from Target or Wal-Mart and cost about $10 each. Not so bad. Except that I love it when he "hides" about three of them under the REAL things we buy at Target (and everything I buy at Target is absolutely essential) and I only see them AS the checkout person is swiping them. Grrrr. Or better yet, he secretly gets them and goes through the checkout line on his own. Some of them are from eBay. These are more costly, because they are....rarer. He wants everyone to know that Anakin's Jedi Starfighter is special because it was only sold at Wal-Mart and was on sale while we were in Japan (where there are no Wal-Marts), so he had to pay over $20 for it on ...

So...Josiah is doing pretty well with the pottytraining, and by "pretty well" I mean that he has been dry for about a week. Meaning that I have been on top of things in terms of getting him to the potty on a regular basis. He still hasn't grasped the mind-blowing concept of feeling the urge and then telling Mommy that he has to GO! Apparently, that is like calculus and we're still in advanced algebra here. When I picked him up from school yesterday he was wearing his spare outfit, so I knew that something messy and/or wet had occured. The school requires me to pack him a spare outfit in case lunch or art gets especially carried away...or he has an accident. Last week he was in just his spare pants. This week, it was the complete spare outfit and he didn't have shoes on, so I knew whatever had happened was on a grander scale. Sure enough, his teacher comes right up to me with a big grin on her face and says that she got sprayed and Josiah's clothes all ...

Life has been fairly uneventful lately, thus the lack of posts. Sorry about that. Or, maybe I shouldn't be sorry , per se, but glad that there is no crazy news to share. Life is just normal. He had a chicken pox vaccine on the Tuesday after Annika's birthday and early the next morning (ie: 3:00 a.m.) he came downstairs, crawled into bed with us and promptly threw up. He ran a fever off and on for about five days. I took him to the emergency room in Newport on Thursday night because he had been throwing up and feverish for two days and his fever was up to 103.7. The doctor told me not to worry (what, not worry, me?) about it, that it was a virus making the rounds, but the...
