Stuttgart & The Apartment

Annika, so exhausted by our trip to IKEA today that she can hardly keep her little eyes open...

The start of a monster track that is currently running through Annika's room, down the hallway and into the living room.

Dining room/kitchen to the right

Living room, and Josiah playing his own interesting version of Twister using his trains.

"Office" aka the four feet of space between the couch and the wall

Josiah's room (new bed from Newport)

Hans and Josiah in the courtyard area of the old palace in Stuttgart, which is now a museum. Josiah wanted to go in and see the mummies, but Hans and I knew that it would only end in heartbreak for everyone.

The new palace...I didn't even notice the bright green scooter in the foreground, but it makes it very European, no? All it needs is a couple carrying french bread, wearing berets, and smoking or kissing.

Great pictures. How does it feel to be in a couple of locations that were targets of our WWII bombers? ie Japan and Germany. That is urban renewal on a grand scale. It's good to see that the combatants are prety much on the same page today.

I so happy you posted new photos, Rachel. The kids look adorable. It's fun to see where you put your furniture, and as always, I enjoy your decorating style.

I see the clock and the 3-D puzzles made the trip safely. I also noticed you the nice window treatments. Good job!

I agree with Donna. You have a great decorating style. No matter where you are, you make it cozy! Did you really make the curtains? Wow! Or should I start saying WAW - what a woman! Love Annie's curls. I like what Joe did with the game. Maybe he can market it.

Cute pictures. Is Annie in a bed now? We are just going to try it with Leah now so I'm wondering how it will go.....
