Comments on Comments

Thank you, all five people who read my blog, for commenting so much on the last posts. Now, if I could just get the lurkers to comment every once and awhile...*

First, a comment. Mom - WAW (or What A Woman)...is this your Women's Studies class going to your head? I just know by the end of this you'll have hairy armpits, be wearing big woolly socks with Birkenstocks (I can get you a good deal) and be voting for Hillary Clinton. This WAW comment smacks of moon-maideny, whale-kissing, tree-huggingness. Peace, NOW!

Second, an answer. Lindsey--yes, we have Annika in a big bed. A very, very big bed, a queen size bed to be exact. It is my old bed from when I was a single lady...many, many, many years ago. We figured that we would need another bed for folks who will be visiting (we'll just put Annie in with Joe during those times). I got some very cute bedding from PB and a few girly decorations, and we were set. She has been doing very well in the big bed, maybe because it is so big. I have lots of pillows on it...I just put Annie in the middle of the bed and put a pillow next to her. The bed is against the wall on the other side, so no problem there. She has fallen out of bed once. We did buy a pop-up rail for the side of the bed, you can get them at any Babies R Us for about $20 per rail. Good luck with Leah! It's a big change.

That is all. It's a rainy day in Stuttgart, Josiah is at preschool for a few hours, Hans is sleeping after a night shift and I'm off to take a shower. Tschuss!

* Gen--that's the word for people who always look but never comment--LURKERS!

I guess that is what you would call me ... a LURKER! I always begin a comment and never get it finished. There is always something catastrophic happening when I spend more than a few minutes at the computer. And then the comment does not seem the same when I get back to the computer! I admire that you get so much writing done! AND ... I enjoy your posts very much. They always seem to relate in some way to what is going on in the Blaser house!

I am glad you have settled in to the new place. It looks great. Of course, I recognize some of the stuff from my days of having Hans as a roomie!

Any interest in coming to Napoli? There is the trash problem, but there are a few jewels here ... Mt. Vesuvius, Pompeii, Ercolano, the Amalfi Coast ... and of course the food, but I am looking forward to coming your way to eat something different ... all we have is Italian!

I hope I made up a little for my lurking ways :)

Relax, my daughter, I shall not change, well, much anyway. And I've been thinking about voting for Hilary long before the class! Just thinking, mind you. I will vote for whoever I think might have a chance at doing a fairly decent job! And I shaved the pits last night! And the toes! Can't afford Birkenstocks! :)

Patty, you are completely redeemed. And I also enjoy reading YOUR blog. I need to add it to my "Blogs I Read Every Single Day" list, because I do check it every day. You have gotten a lot of posting done recently. I know everyone back home appreciates these blogs. Yes, of course we want to come to Naples...have to wait until Hans is done with this "watch" that keeps us tethered to Stuttgart. Maybe in the spring?

Aha! Lurkers!! That is a perfect name. It's not like I expect someone to write this huge essay on how my silly post changed their life or anything...but a sentence every once in awhile would be nice so I know who's out there. I am faintly shocked when random people tell me "Say, how's blah, blah, blah going"? and they knew about it from the blog. COMMENT, PEOPLE!
