Freedom....!
I am alone.
All, all alone. All by mahhhhhseeeeelllfff! I wanna be....alll byy mahhhhseelllfff!
And I am.
Haha!
My children are at school/daycare. And I am alone in our teeny-tiny home, eating my Cheerios in a leisurely manner. Of course, there are 123 things that I need to do today, so the leisure will have to stop at some point, I guess. Sigh. I could get used to this amazing silence.
That's not true. Actually, it's such a strange combination of being happy to be left alone for awhile and feeling like I've forgotten them somewhere. I know that I will be excited when it comes time to go over and pick them up, silly me.
In other news, Hans started work yesterday and of course, it's extremely top-secret. He'd have to kill me if he told me what he does all day. He worked from 5:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. yesterday and was tuckered out when he got home. Methinks he's gotten a bit spoiled after a year at school and the last eight weeks off. You all should have seen him all decked out in his cammies. I have to say that no matter what uniform he's got on, he always seems a little...different. I feel like I have to respect him more when he's in uniform or something, it's hard to describe. He's definitely different in uniform vs. when he's lounging on the couch in his jammies on a Saturday morning. Anyway, now he has to wear camoflage from head to toe, combat boots, the whole nine yards. It's just different seeing my Navy man in Army duds.
Hope I don't lose him in the woods.
The T-T apartment is almost settled. I even hung up some pictures yesterday. There is one box that hasn't been opened, but it's just full of towels and the 200 tubes of toothpaste that I have been stockpiling for the last six months (because Colgate gives really good coupons and I swear, I paid about 12 cents per tube, and I mean--who doesn't use toothpaste?). There's no rush to get it opened except that it's taking up precious floor space. Yesterday we put up a new Thomas "Wallies" mural in Josiah's room. How I loooooove Wallies because they can be removed and reused--they are like really cool stickers for the wall. I would love to find some for Annika's room. Or a stencil of daisies, maybe. I need to hang some things up in her room today too. Her bedding looks adorable though and I hung three huge, floating butterflies over her bed. Got them at http://landofnod.com, which is as cute as PB Kids, definitely.
Yes, I promise I will take pictures soon. As soon as that final box is emptied and all the empty boxes are taken out and the ones that need to go to the basement are put away. Then, you will get pictures. Promise.
Tschuss!
