The Triumvirate

There aren't actually any pictures of Josiah, but here's how he spent hours this weekend: yes, he colored, labeled and cut out each state and then arranged them on the black paper. We need to work on Minnesota's shape and spelling a little, but otherwise fantastic--he even got Alaska and Hawaii. I think we have a little nerd on our hands, awww!

Annika a few days ago, rediscovering the felt animals that Grandma brought last year

William, 15 minutes ago, post sweet potato and applesauce. He is currently struggling to fall asleep in his post-dinner, pre-bedtime nap.

Now this makes my day!!! Oh, you little darlings - I'll see you in a couple of weeks, and I can hardly wait. You are all so sweet!

Josiah, I love your map!

Our grandson, the cartographer. When you're home, I'll suggest that Joe and his grandpa visit the library at MSU. Dad spent quite a bit of time there studying maps while he waited for me to get done with a class. Does Annie still collect stuff to sleep with or have with her? I thought of that when she had all her things spread out on the couch. And Will...he's such a serious guy. Which means, of course, he's gonna be quite the character. Thanks for the pix!

I wonder if Josiah would like an atlas of mine to put under the bed for quick reference just in case? I have lots of spare ones. Annika looks so angelic with her things on the couch and Will looks a little startled, like he was in the middle of a tough problem when you interrupted him. Take care. Oh ya, Joe, Minnesota should be at least as big as Texas in your map.

Dad, we did buy a little one, it has maps of the US/World, but I bet he'd like one of those big ones and yes, I'll teach him to keep it under the bed. Just like Grandpa!

Will looks surprised because he was busy and the flash caught him offguard.

Hmm, where would he get the nerdiness from?!
