Tell Me Where You Got Those Big Cheeks From

Dad has been working on scanning in some of his slides...yesterday he sent me some from 1974.

Me and my Papa...this one made me cry

Hip and happenin' Jan (loving the sideswept bangs!)

Behold the cheeks *

What a cute bib--I just noticed that!

Butterball

* We had supper at a very traditional German restaurant in Partenkirchen on Sunday evening (Jodi has some pictures of the exterior). The kids did pretty good...we didn't seem to get any GLoDs from the other Germans in our portion of the restaurant and Will slept almost all the way through supper. Just as they were turning the Who Shot John music up and the Germans were switching over from "stern" to "mildly happy", the kids got antsy and Will woke up. As I was putting him back into his stroller, the older German couple at the table next to us started talking to us, in German...we think they were admiring our well-fed baby, because they were making motions at their cheeks. We just said "Ja, ja" and nodded like we knew what they were talking about!

These photos taken of you were really fun to look at, Rachel. Whoever invented cameras (was it Kodak), Thank You!

That one of Fritz holding you is precious. Isn't it fun to see baby pictures of yourself once you have kids of your own. I see a lot of resemblence there!

I didn't know they had crib bumpers way back then! I see the resemblance too!

It has been another trip down memory lane doing those slides, makes me kind of misty too. I guess that it is my German heritage that makes me so reserved. I had better keep running slides so that I can get up to the rest of the tribe. (-:

It's crazy how much you and your babies look alike, especially your boy babies.
You should make a print of the one of you and Poppa.
I am really enjoying reviewing all of the old pictures...but it makes me sad, too. I can't believe how old we are!
