Josiah Has a Go

Josiah gives it a try...Will is just mesmerized by both of his siblings.

It really is hard to find Will's neck!

He had his first taste of bananas last night. I think he's not quite ready just yet because more came out than went in...but we'll try a little more tonight and see what happens. He will be four months in just about two weeks, so this is about the time I started solids for Josiah and Annika. I'll be happy to start giving him solids and spending less on formula...he takes a special soy formula that's not cheap, but it was necessary to help with his gas problem.

I'm considering getting a Beaba Babycook and making baby food. I know you're all getting concerned because first I started in with the cloth diapers and now I'm talking about making homemade baby food. It doesn't stem from being an "Earth" mama, I'm just cheap about some things...like diapers and food. The two tiny First Stage Gerber foods cost almost a dollar at the commissary. When he starts taking them in earnest, he'll eat probably 3-4 packages a day. That's $14/week on baby food. Well, when put that way, I guess it's less than formula, but still...why not throw a banana in and process it and serve it to him?

Just considering...not sold. Convenience is a big factor here, too. We'll see what happens!

How are the cloth diapers going?

My neighbor's boy was born in July. She is feeding Elijah sweet potatos. She cooks a batch and then freezes in ice cube trays. Easy to thaw and he likes it. Love seeing the little clips you add to your blog.

Dad and I sat here laughing at your sons. It was funny when Joe said he couldn't find his neck. And it was almost eerie looking at the older brother playing with his little brother clone. Man, they look alike! Thanks again, Rach, for getting that camera. We sure are enjoying the clips from the flip. Love ya, Mother Earth!

We made all Marshall's food. It is really quite easy and so much cheaper. I even used all organic stuff. Very cute video of your boys!

Sam and I just watched the video and laughed our heads off. He loves to see his cousins Joe and Annika. He just said "I wish I could kiss the baby like that"!! Adorable.
