Making Progress

Someday when she's 16, Annika will find out that I blogged on the internet (they have that on computers now) about her pottytraining and she will be horrified.

Oh well. I'm sure I'll blog about lots of other things that will ultimately horrify her.

For the three of you wondering, we are making great strides with the pottytraining. She continues to improve on her technique every day. We have seen a great increase in hits vs. misses. Last night she woke me up at 1:00 a.m. for a drink, which I gave to her. She then woke me up at 3:00 a.m. to use the potty. Now that's pretty impressive. Especially as she was wearing a diaper to bed.

There are still a couple of hurdles to cross, but we'll get there.

Sorry to all the good people at Pampers and Huggies...

I must be one of the three interested in potty training. After four 1/2 years of diapers, you deserve a break (notice "break, hopefully not done forever). GOOD JOB ANNIKA

I have a hunch that potty training is some what like quiting smoking. One day you realize smoking is going to kill you or this business of running around with wet/dirty diapers is getting real old. So you work at stopping said behavior. It helps to have a peer like Joe to point the way. Your idea with the Maxi Pads was one of those slap your forehead and say "why didn't I think of that"?

Good job, Annika! You're growing up so fast. I'm know you're trying, and that's what's important. :-)
