A Glimmer of Hope?

Hans just called to report that the (hopefully) new command in Norfolk just called to see what was happening. They are going to have a three star Admiral call BUPERS (where Evil Detailer works) to do another by-name request.

Because, you know, by-name requests by two seperate one star Admirals just isn't enough to light a fire under Evil Detailer's butt...

Little does Evil Detailer know but that there's yet another Admiral (star level unknown) here at SOCEUR who is about to have words with him too...

It sounds like the new command just wants Hans onboard so much that they're willing to go to greater lengths to make sure he gets there.

There's hope yet that this whole debacle might come to a happy ending!

And I won't feel even a little sorry for Evil Detailer.

Everyone keep your fingers, toes and eyes crossed...we will report the latest and greatest from Stuttgart as soon as we know it.

Lots of prayer being offered, believe me! We're standing by...

It's very hard to type with my eyes crossed. I also crossed my incredibly long arms twice, in case that means anything extra.
Thank GOD someone out there is recognizing Hans' hard work and value to the Navy.
So maybe, maybe, maybe you'll be here before February? Maybe?

This is the most upbeat transfer related blog yet. It goes to show you, if you can get enough heavy hitters on your side it can pay off. Hopefully with the stars on your side the evil detailer won't be encouraged to get underhanded. We are all pulling for you to be back in the good ole US of A soon.

Okay. I'll tune in often because I'm also in your corner - very anxious to have you back on US soil. This could be your best Christmas present this year!

Please tell Hans hello from me. He knows I'm one of his biggest cheerleaders (I'm not referring to my size!).

You know, I would think that having all of this *ahem* star power falling on his head would make the Evil Detailer want to expedite the orders ASAP, as nothing makes bureacrats quite as uncomfortable as having Those In Charge start poking around their empires.

Here's prayers and hopes that you guys are back stateside soon, Rachel! May a BuOrd Mark 8 shell land upon the EvDet's head.

I'm pulling for you guys. Maybe the new command in Norfolk and another admiral will finally make the E.D. see the light. By the way, can you reveal his rank? Is his upward career over already? My next trip to North Carolina may be in April so would be nice if you were at home in Norfolk area by that time. You missed Christmas in USA, maybe Easter?

I can't imagine the torture you & Hans are going through with this. I don't know how you keep from using even harsher terms for this situation. I have everything crossed for you.
