Hans and Will reading Wolverine, Will and me with our crabby faces, Will awake (!) and relaxin' in his bouncer, and Will and me with with happier faces (well, ME anyway!).
Pictures of all three of our little pumpkins tomorrow. Now it's time for this tired mama to take herself to bed!

Oh my gosh...you all are SO cute! I think we have a picture of Hans with each of the kids reading their own book or reading over his shoulder.

I need to comment quicker I think. All of the superlatives are used up by the tiome that I get here. Rachel, do you ever take a bad picture? And the book reading traditional photo,got to start them early. Take care.

Pictures are adorable!
Don't know if you heard, but the White House was decorated in Orange and had quite a large gathering for Military families. Maybe next year you can be a part of this event.

I love that picture of Hans reading to Will. He looks very alert and interested!

I see a resemblence to Annie in one of those pictures.

Good to see Will is firmly started along the Geek Track, thanks to his loving father. When you guys visit, no doubt a jaunt to The Source will be in order, and his journey to the Dark Side will be complete.

First Baseball Game

Is there any past-time quite as quintessentially American as baseball? Today was Josiah's first baseball game. Well, technically, it is teeball, but in a couple of years he will graduate to full-fledged baseball. His first game was meant to be last Saturday morning, but we got rained out. Today was gorgeous, a nice hot sun with a good cool breeze. Both teams batted twice. I wish I could say for sure that this is two innings, but I'm not certain. I used to think I knew what an inning was, but I seem to recall a conversation with someone in which my ideas of baseball were corrected. Peder? What constitutes an inning? Josiah did well...he has a tendency to goof off a little bit in these situations. He has inherited this tendency from his mother, I will freely admit. A Long Day on the Road

Yesterday was an(other) extremely long and stressful day. Here's how it was supposed to go: we would all get up, have a pleasant breakfast, get ready to go, get in the cars and have a pleasant and scenic trip to New Jersey with a nice stop for some lunch at McDonald's. It's a three hour trip down to Jersey, so I figured if we left by 9:00 a.m., we'd get Hans' car through the processing center, stop for lunch and be back on the road by 2:00 at the latest. Home to Newport by suppertime. We did have a nice breakfast, we did get on the road by 9:10 a.m. and our trip was pleasant and scenic until we reached East Lyme, Connecticut. Hans was following me on I-95. We were cruising along in the fast lane, when all of a sudden in front of me, at maybe a distance of two city blocks I saw a truck's tanker rise up in the air, fall to the ground and start to slide, long-wise across the freeway, towards us.
