As Ordered: One Sunny Day!
Well, whomever says that whining gets one nowhere: today was a sunny, beautiful day!
Started the day off with a trip to my German salon. It's a little pricey, so I try to visit only every other time. In between, I touch up my own color and get my hair trimmed at the cheap salon here on post or at our PX. So, it's a treat to go to the German salon, the "good place". They give me a hand massage, a head massage, makeup, haircut and color...the works for about 85 Euro.
We went a little darker today, my base color is more of a light golden brown with blonde highlights. I asked for something closer to my root color so that I won't have to fuss with color for awhile...after all, I'm going to be just a little busy here soon, right? When she was done, she curled it all over. I joked that my kids wouldn't recognize me and sure enough, when I arrived home, they gave me some strange looks!
I'll ask Hans to take a picture and get the belly shot that some of you have been requesting, too.
I barely arrived home and we had to turn around and leave to go see a 1:20 screening of "UP" at the English-language theater in Vaihingen. What a treat...the movie was so good. It's the first Pixar movie that has left me crying. The kids were entertained and happy throughout and we had the entire theater almost to ourselves, just one other father and son were there. Oh, and they have great popcorn and Coke in glass bottles. Ahhhh.
All in all, a much, much better day than yesterday and it's not quite over yet!
