Now on to Cooking

This is what I found when I got out of the shower this morning. They had run their own bath, added the bubbles (and in moderation, I might add--I would have expected the entire bottle to be gone) and were happily bathing together.

Someday they will hate that there is a photo of them naked in the tub together on the internet.

Anyway. Potty-trained--check. Dressing themselves--check (though some of them are better at undressing than dressing--see last post). Feeding themselves--check. Now bathing themselves? My job is getting easier and easier.

Next lesson: cooking. I'm sure that after three lessons, they'd be better cooks than me!

After all, I have it on authority that their father was busy making his own mac-n-cheese at a very tender age!

Self-comment: I can hear them from my bathroom for anyone concerned that they were in the tub without adult supervision.

I wouldn't be too concerned about exposure, after all they have a lot of bubbles in the tub. Someday soon when they are reminded of their baths it will be eeeww. The innocence of children.

That is the idea of good parenting--eventually the better job you do you will work yourself out of a job and that is a good thing--for the parents and the children. That is the way it is supposed to be.

Score! Give them those lessons in cooking and maybe you could get breakfast in bed!

Did Annie get a haircut?

They wanted to be squeeky clean - just as you! I'm proud of them for not running the water over the top! Think of how much worse it could have been.

They sure are cute kids!

Yes, Annika got a haircut. I was trying to grow her bangs out because I think her face looks so cute with all her hair pulled back, but I just couldn't STAND them in the in-between phase. I got about 4-5" taken off the length...she was like a wookie. I can't believe how she grows hair!

That was adorable, what a great blog!! Sam is sitting on my lap right now and when I pulled your blog up, he yelled "JOE"! (Didn't know who Annie was, so we have some work to do).
