New "like bike"--no pedals
Thank you very much to the grandparents, the aunts and uncles and cousins and friends who all made Annika's day very special. We had a very intimate little party for her--just the four of us, my super-awful (but still tasty) Mickey Mouse cake and a bunch of great gifts. She had a great day being treated like a little princess--it's not over yet. We still have a dinner of her choice (I can just about guess what she'll want) and a "mani-pedi" with her favorite clear sparkly nail polish.
We're very lucky to have you Annika. You are the sunshine of our lives...!

Happy Birthday, Sweetheart! Wow, 3 years old. You are growing into such a lovely young lady.

It looks like you had a wonderful party. Your Mickey Mouse cake looks delicious - and so does the fancy shell macaroni and cheese. I've never tasted that, but it sure makes me hungry!

I can't wait to see you ride your new big girl bicycle. It's gorgeous - but not as pretty and sweet as you are. Have a great birthday.

By the way, I'm glad the pillows fit with the rest of your pretty bedroom - butterflies and all.

The shells are Kraft Three Cheese--should be located right by the regular elbow kind. It's her favorite.

Annika, your Gramma Kuehl and I made it to the first 2 birthdays but we missed numbers 3 and 4. The first was in Japan and the next was in Newport, we have missed the last two in Germany. I can see that you are really starting to get tall like your cousin Leah. Hopefully for your next birthday you will all be back in the States or some other interesting location in the world. Take care and say hi to your big brother and your folks. Love to all.

Oh, Annie, how can you be three already?!? You'll be asking for the keys to your dad's Audi pretty soon! Or your mom's bike...
