I broke down and turned on the A/C tonight...I was hoping that we'd be able to make it with fans for awhile...say, June-ish? Ah well. I'm thankful that winter seems to be completely behind us in Chesapeake. Everything is green and growing like gangbusters (on a sidenote, what exactly is a gangbuster, anyway? And does it grow at an exponential rate? That is a Peter-ism). My backyard salad garden seems to have recovered. The tomatoes have been through a lot, but I have been giving them Prozac and helping them to journal about their feelings...so hopefully we'll have some tomatoes come July...or at the rate this heat/sunshine is coming in, possibly mid-May!
Pics are from today at Norfolk Botanical Garden, where we played in bliss in the bubblers, spray and sprinkles. Their children's garden is really great. It was my friend Angela's first trip back to the garden in a few years and she was amazed at how nice the children's garden and sprinklers are...I'm so glad that we have our membership until the end of August. We've definitely gotten our money's worth out of that little card.
Magda and Hans will be reunited tomorrow, so that's good news. Hopefully everything with the insurance claim will be settled quickly and without too much fuss. I'm so thankful that we have our insurance with USAA, one of the best insurance companies out there--and some of the sincerely nicest customer service reps ever. They are one of the few companies that I feel 100% positive about...now hopefully that won't change over some quibble on the claim.
All right, must go off and brush everyone's teeth, read stories, direct people to get into their pajamas 98 times, tuck in, give kisses and hugs and fetch blankets and stuffed animals and headlamps and books and drinks.
Ah, bedtime.

We love USAA. We have had 2 accidents with them. No problems, covered everything.
I spotted Josiah's dimple and I agree with you that Annika is beautiful. Hans is right on!
I'm so proud of you for getting out with the kids and letting them enjoy the parks and gardens around you.
