Frohe Ostern

I hope that everyone had a very Happy Easter. Ours was honestly a little lonely, without Hans around. I missed being able to go to church. After Christmas, Easter is probably my favorite church holiday (yeah, I know...I would say I personify the Christmas/Easter churchgoer, but I go more often than that!). My Lutheran church still hasn't gotten a nursery together, so church with these three little people just isn't a possibility. I have been looking at another church close to us, non-denominational, that has more facilities and programs for children. I'm hoping we can give that church a try soon.

Hmmm, what else? Well, spring break is over and not a minute too soon. It was time for the kids to go back to school and for William and I to get back into our regular routine. We are creatures of habit in this household and when our habits get put out of whack, we can handle it for a few days and then...we go a little crazy. Add to the nine days of 24-7 with three kids the fact that I'm playing single mom right now and...yeah, it was just good for them to get back to school! We're all much happier when we have a little bit of space from each other.

Joined the Y today. We went and did a little tour yesterday. They have a great new facility about 10 minutes away from us with a fantastic outdoor pool rife with slides, bubblers, showering mushrooms and flowers, a wading pool for the little guy and deeper pools for the bigger ones. There is care for William seven days a week (though I'm terrified to take him, what with the way he's been...nibbly lately), so Hans and I could go and work out in the evenings or on the weekends (hey, it's a dream, indulge me). There's a big indoor playground to contain the other two. Gee, Hans and I could go for a swim and lay in the sauna together. And of course, there's yoga and Parent's Night Out and a host of other things.

Just pray that William doesn't bite anyone and get us all thrown out!

I think most every woman who reads this post can relate to all the things you talked about.

I'm glad there is a Y so close and I'm sure your whole family will get a lot of use out of it.

Will's personality sure comes thru with the pictures. So cute!

Yay! I just discovered you had made a new post. Thank you! I loved all of the pictures. It's so fun to see Annika and Josiah dying the eggs. And Will - is his hair turing light?

I'm also glad you joined the Y. And am hoping you give the non-demoniational church a try. I think you'll be blessed. I'll go with you when I come out.

Good grief! I was just going to take a look at your blog and found this whole string of recent entries. Your tomatoes should be well adjusted if that is what you are using on them. Do you ever get tired of hearing how cute our grand kids are? I hope not, cause it's true. Finally getting warm enough here to get the farmers out in the fields and the grass to green up and the trees to start budding.
