My word, such great photos!!. I recognize the small pond with the mountain in the bachground from our walk near Eibsee. I think that it is nearly impossible to take a bad picture in that area. Yours though, show great composition and framing etc. I think that a few are candidates for framing. Did Annie make it all the way around the lake in her sandals? I wish that Austria wasn't so far away. Take care.

Wow! These are great shots - and I love the ones with you in them. What a great trip.
Ms DeFor,
I am back in Ohio for a weekend visit with the family. I believe I told you I am now living and working in Austin, Texas. It is 180 spin from Marion, Ohio (on a continental USA scale.)The local mantra is "Keep Austin Weird" and that is a philosophy kept alive daily. I fit right in as a 50-year-old conservative ex-party meister. Talk about a conundrum. Everytime I mention something I did in the past others eyebrows arch and the grins of knowing comrades reveal shared experiences. Conversation with veiled references is a common occurrence. I now work for a Good company and we are busy with backlog increasing. Some of our accounts are the big guys, Dell, HP, Oracle, Simon Properties. The local economy - actually Texas as a whole - is still strong with lots of new construction. The real estate market here in Ohio is dismal, lots of foreclosures on the market. The family is still here until we sell the home. I see you are making good use of your time in Europe. Northern Italy sounds like a good choice for a 4-day adventure, Vino and vistas. I met a salesman from Minneapolis in the airport lounge the other day, he knew Mankato well. See ya, J Craig

Jer, I hope that you read the entry a few days back that is titled "Unique Howard" and references you in particular...

Send me an e-mail at www(dot)building(underscore)hugger(dot)com. I have to keep track of my references, not to mention my friends!
