Merry Christmas Everyone!

We made cookies...they were pretty good, albeit choked in glitter and toppings!

Pics are blurry--we got a new camera and for some reason, it was set to "sport" mode (for all of our super-active, sporty moments?!  Ha!), hence the out-of-focus pics.

Don't look so excited, people.  Sheesh!  Believe it or not, this was the best pic I got of the three of them in front of the tree.

Still blurry, but his excitement is just too fun!

Moments like these are just too few and far between in the trenches of parenthood...true, unabated, unabashed JOY!

I guess "almost 10" is the age at which we are now too cool to be excited over Christmas presents?

Apparently, age seven is still young enough to show extreme excitement over Christmas gifts.

Thank you to everyone who helped to make our Christmas merry and bright!  We appreciate the time and effort it takes to make that special trip to the post office to send gifts.  Thanks!  We had a nice, quiet Christmas (well, except for William's deafeningly loud new dinosaur toy) capped off by helping to serve Christmas supper onboard the ship.

Merry Christmas to you all and may you and yours spend this quiet time between holidays in reflection of the year that has passed and what lies ahead.

Sayonara!

I will have to echo your Mum's comment. 10 probably is the age when you are much too cool to show excitement, but Annika and William aren't there yet. Good series of pictures. I would think that "sport" mode would be a faster shutter speed, or however they do it these days. I used to just hate discovering after I had burned through a roll of Kodachrome with the wrong speed set. Some day we will all be here for Christmas, until then, then.
I enjoyed seeing the kids and the excitement. Also the cookies, which looked a lot like the ones my 27 year old grandson decorated.
How wonderful that we can see what you and your family is doing when we are so far apart.
Thanks, Love you all.
