Poof Goes The House!
All right, I'm just going to preface this by saying that I am REALLY AND TRULY NOT THAT UPSET.
Just a little annoyed that I have to return to the "drawing board", so to speak.
The lease at the aforementioned house fell through. I should have known better than to blab about something before the papers had been signed. It's kind of how I would always tell everyone I knew that I had met the man of my dreams 2.3 hours after our first date and I was done, in love, ready to settle down.
And then we'd break up a week later.
When I met Hans, I didn't tell anyone but Gen about him for over a month because he was so fantastically amazingly perfect that I didn't want to jinx it by telling anyone. And see how that worked out?
I will probably never learn to just keep my mouth shut.
Anyway, here is what happened and it's really very straightforward: the owners have tenants moving out tomorrow. At first they agreed that they could keep it open for us until May 15th. That's a month and a half of lost rental income, I pointed out. No, no, they really wanted US to have the house and they could afford it.
Except yesterday, they decided that they couldn't.
I understand, I truly do. I had asked them about 23 times if they were sure they wanted to hold it without a tenant for so long, only to be reassured every time that it was fine.
Anyway, sigh. I know that things will work out for the best. I got right back in the saddle and set up another house to look at today...but don't count on me to report on it until the ink on the lease is dry!
