Wildpark
Josiah, Annika and I traveled to Pforzheim today with the Torres Family to visit The Wildpark (you must say VILEDPAHK!). I would explain, but I think the pictures just about cover all the bases. We had some wurst for lunch and watched the kids play on the giant buffalo jungle gym, then bought a few boxes of food for the animals and turned the kids loose. It started raining heavily just as we finished lunch, so we took cover in a little pavilion where a man was giving a demonstration on making honey--that round thing to his right is something like a honeycomb centrifuge. Josiah turned the crank to spin the frames--you can see the pail underneath collecting the honey. They were passing out little spoons to have a taste--mmmm. If we weren't leaving in THIRTEEN DAYS (!!!!), I would have bought some honey. The rain passed after 15-20 minutes and we continued along the path, feeding the various animals. Oh--and the tree full of pacifiers--that might need a little description--it's a spot for toddlers to take and give up their pacifiers when the time comes to let go. Josiah and Annika weren't really ones for the pacifier, but I can tell that it might be a little more difficult for William! Anyway--a cunning idea, one I've seen Supernanny use to get toddlers off the paci.
Another great day, another fabulous weekend. Just one more weekend left!
