Mommy, Your Peas are Crying!

...this from my son, who has been watching too much "Yo Gabba, Gabba!". I think that I blogged awhile ago and posted some video of this show. It is the latest and greatest show in our pseudo-home*. I am constantly being presented with nuggets of wisdom that Josiah learned on YGG. One of which has to do with the food segment that I described in my previous post. Hans and I have used this episode to great advantage in the Food Wars. If Josiah doesn't want to eat his beans (or any other member of the veggie family), we pull out our YGG and tell him that the beans want to join his other food at "the party in his tummy".

Last night I was a little slow in getting around to eating my peas, which led Josiah to very seriously tell me "Mommy, your peas are crying! They want to go to the party in your tummy!"

Seriously, these kids get funnier and funnier. They are such excellent comic relief that I think we're going to have to keep having them (or adopting them) until we're 80. Maybe kids don't give you gray hair until they turn 13? I don't know, but if Josiah and Annika keep growing in funniness, we're going to spontaneously combust from it by the time they hit their teens. Watch, they will be the most sullen rebellious teenagers in the known universe.

Anyway, about the pseudo-house*. We have survived our first little packout. It wasn't much to speak of, just the things that go ahead of us and get there (please God) before we do. Things like our extra set of silverware and dishes, pots and pans, a toaster, some sheets and blankets and towels. Legos, puzzles, books and stuff to keep the kids busy. This is all just in case (please, please God) we get into housing before our regular household goods arrive. Those don't leave the house until the end of October. Which is very, very quickly approaching. Thus, I am calling the house pseudo because all of our pictures are down off the walls and a bunch of stuff is already gone. Life as we knew it is coming to a close again.

Well, as I said, at least we have our sense(s) of humor!
