Kannonzaki, Part III or Too Many Pics of Kids Eating Ice Cream

Yesterday, at Kannonzaki.  We climbed the big hill to the playground.  It's a workout and I get vertigo coming back down so that I have to cling to the rail like a life raft.

So, there's a memorial at the top of the hill with an anchor nearby...but we can't figure out what it's for.  Obviously something related to ships, shipping or their navy.

Beautiful day, beautiful pic...everyone looking, everyone smiling!

Annie on the roller slide...the "short" one.  We're still trying to find the one that runs down the entire side of the hill.

Ice cream vending machines...no Diet Coke anywhere in Japan (except cans in the commissary), but there are vending machines for just about everything else!  Hans has resigned himself to drinking cans or Zero from fountain.  He has done extensive internet research on this subject to find that Japan decided to produce one diet version of Coke, Coke Zero in 2009.  If he would have known this beforehand, it may have changed our destiny...

Ah...one of those times when all the cosmic tumblers click into place!

What a great string of photos. Joe, and Will are definitely brothers, they look more alike the older they get, and Annika is stretching out too. Have you ever found playgrounds like this in the States?

I love these pictures. Your adventures to these parks are really neat! I agree with Pete—Will and Josiah really do look a lot alike.
