Home Sweet Home, Part IX

Living Room (watching "Despicable Me" on this super hot day)

Screen porch

Part of the backyard--playhouse to the left, shed to the right, rose trellis in left foreground.

Our tiny dining room

Original side porch, now the kids' playroom.

A few boxes left and definitely some picture hanging/decor rearrangement.  This is the front room.  The door is into the playroom.

I haven't quite gotten around to hanging the stair pictures just yet...but I love the wood floors and steps.

Master bedroom...the kids' rooms either have a hole in the ceiling and/or are too messy to include.

Kitchen (I think it's smaller than in Germany, good thing I'm not a cook!).

Hey, it's Bernice!  How I love her...

Home Sweet Home #9

So, this is internet house tour number NINE!  Can you keep track of all of them?  Sometimes, to put myself to sleep at night, I try to remember all of my addresses.  From Hans forward, I mean.  I did live in four or five different places in Mankato too and I was back in St. James just before we got married.

377 Duke Street, St. Paul, MN
344 Davis Street, Portsmouth, RI
1126 Latigo Cove, #4, Chula Vista, CA
Yokosuka (I can't remember our box number or the CMR or the zip--that one's lost)
58 Second Street, Newport, RI
CMR 480 Box 1108, APO AE  09128 (one move in Stuttgart, but our box didn't change)
1305 Crosswood Lane, Chesapeake
1109 Brunswick Avenue, Norfolk

As always, enjoy...

It's looking nice!, but Mom wonders where the cow is? Other than that it looks very cozy. Your
Mom thinks that she has the Japan adress someplace. She has kept track of all of our kids adresses over the years. I think that your sister had at least a half dozen in Rochester alone. We'll see it in person sometime in the future.

The steer is here. He was one of the last items I put up. I had forgotten I put him in a bureau drawer and was a little worried, but I found him. My home cannot be a house without my steer! I told Hans that with my family safely out, the steer would be the next thing I'd grab if we had a housefire!

Rather, my HOUSE cannot be a HOME until I get the steer put up!

I'm glad to hear about the bovine recovery, but are you sure that it is a steer?

Oh, my! I really like this new home you have made for your family. You've done an amazing job of getting things set up, Rachel. I'm impressed!

It was fun to see photos of the darlings again. I miss all of you.

Also, your new vehicle is really nice. I like the color very much.

It's really cute! I love the kid's playroom-looks like something you would see in a magazine!!

Well, that is a good sign, not for the steer of course though.
