Here they are, backwards as usual (one is always time-travelling on Minnesota is Heaven):

Playing with some of Will's new gifts post-birthday bash.

Opening gifts (with a little help from his "friends"--OK, more like they did it for him!). Aunt Heidi sent the alphabet/number trains which are a big hit, thanks Aunt Heidi!!

Oh, the difference a year makes when eating birthday cake. Last year, it was all over him and spattered in a 3' radius of his highchair. This year, he used a fork and was quite distinguished about the whole matter. Even so, I made him do it topless.

Having cake.

Oh, some cake? Why yes, mother, I would like to use my fork in a most mannerly way. Only one-year-olds smash cake all over their faces. Now that I am a mature two-year-old, I will stop using my fingers like a common barbarian!

Wait...that little barbarian got his fingers into the cake
long before we set it on the table...that was my fault for showing him the cake when I brought it home. Note to self: next time, show him the cake from something other than 2' off the ground!

Pizza supper and ba-oons!

Josiah, playing his favorite game "The Scrambled States of America" (come to think of it, I think that was another Aunt Heidi gift--write a book, please Aunt Heidi because you rock at gift giving!). Josiah loves this game so much that he's designed a "Scrambled Countries" game along the same line. Play it if you dare.

Annie, tending the balloons.
*William Too is from the alphabet song that Grandma Kuehl made up, sung to the tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle" and lists all of her grandchildren's, children's and son/daughter-in-law's names in alphabetical order...William is last, so the last line is "and William too". So now his cousins all call him William Too. Which just happens to coincide nicely with his second birthday....
