Roger Williams Park & Zoo
Josiah playing in the fountain at the zoo. Believe it or not, I let him get in there and get completely, totally, absolutely soaked.
He loved the fountain and would have been fine skipping the rest of the animals in the zoo, if only we could stay at the fountain for a couple of hours. Note to self: next time we go, I will bring along a complete change of clothes.
I don't know who looks worse: me or the camel. There's something similar in our big toothy grins (and wide hips). But Josiah and Annika look cute.
I showed Josiah how to paint his hand and make handprints on the paper, which he proceeded to do himself with much, much gusto. There were paint drops everywhere.
Annika in the buggy at the zoo...yes, I fixed her hair. No, she didn't hold still and enjoy playing "beauty shop".
So, pictures are worth a thousand words and I'll just leave it at that. Josiah had a huge haircut yesterday morning before we left for the zoo. I told Hans that I wanted it short. Hans said he was a little shocked when the stylist started buzzing, but at least we won't have to get Josiah's hair cut again until we get to our next duty station. Which is where? We don't know! Yet another important issue that needs to get straightened out soon. Along with the House that Refuses to Sell. That's right...as if you all were waiting in suspense to find out we got our money yesterday...that would be a big NO. I know, what a surprise!!
(Deep breath).
Hopefully, I'll have something a little more positive to blog about in my next entry!

I snorted my water through my nose when I read the caption under the camel picture. Thanks for that.
